Details from TECO Energy:
Applying film to all east- and west-facing glass within conditioned areas - including any non-decorative glass that may be part of a door - may qualify you to receive $2 per square foot if the minimum shading coefficiency is .40 or less. The existing structure must have electric whole-house air conditioning. After window film is installed, you are required to complete, sign and date our Window Film form. A hard copy of the form, including proof of purchase (paid receipt) and supporting documentation (specification sheet) showing the shading coefficient of the film installed must be submitted to Tampa Electric in order for you to qualify for the rebate.
Note: to qualify for the $2 per square foot rebate, film must be installed on all east- and west-facing glass within conditioned areas, including any non-decorative glass that may be part of a door. A minimum shading coefficiency of .40 or less is required. In addition, the existing structure must have electric whole-house air conditioning. The rebate is based only on newly filmed eastern and western exposed glass. Any east/west-facing glass area that is totally shaded by a lanai roof does not require film.
Your window film sales consultant will provide you with the products that meet this specific requirement. After window film is installed, fill out the Online TECO form, print, complete and submit the Window Film form, including your invoice, contractor name, and window film specifications to receive your incentive.

Progress Energy Residential Window Film Rebate
- A Progress Energy Home Energy Check within the past 24 months is a prerequisite to qualifying for the rebate.
- 50 percent of the cost, up to $100. Must have whole house electric cooling.

Florida Film Solutions has window film rebate products for Tampa Bay customers that meet or exceed the requirments set forth by the energy companies TECO Electric and Progress Energy. The window films must be intalled on existing clear glass on East, West, home windows
